Built from inside the studio
TroupeDesk is studio management software for dance, music and theatre teachers. It's made in Latvia by someone who has taught classes, run a studio and spent too many evenings chasing payments.
Running a performing arts studio means two jobs. One is teaching: the classes, the rehearsals, the shows. The other is everything around it: class lists, attendance, trial students, monthly fees, costume invoices and parents asking what time Saturday's class starts.
Most studios handle that second job with spreadsheets, message threads and memory. The software that does exist was mostly built for gyms, large schools or one-off bookings. It doesn't understand families with three children in four classes, trial lessons that need a follow-up, or invoices with the right VAT for a studio in Europe.
We built TroupeDesk to handle that second job, so studios can spend more time on the first.
Why we're starting small
We're opening TroupeDesk to a small group of teachers and studios first. Each one gets set up personally, and what they tell us decides what we build next. We'd rather get it right for a few studios than hand a lot of people a blank account.
Meet the founder
I'm a software developer, and I've been teaching dance for more than 13 years and running my own studio in Riga for 6 years. Every month I lost hours to the same things: checking who had paid, rewriting class lists and answering the same questions from parents. I looked for a tool that fit how a studio actually works and couldn't find one. Building software is my job, so I built it.
I run my own studio on TroupeDesk. If something doesn't work, I'm the first to notice. I built TroupeDesk to make my life easier, and I hope it makes your life easier too.
What we care about
Billing that just works
Tuition, one-off invoices and failed payments should run on their own, so you don't have to chase anyone. Payments go straight to your bank account and are processed by Stripe. TroupeDesk never sees or stores card numbers.
Fast on a phone
Teachers take attendance in a few taps before class starts. Every part of TroupeDesk is designed for a phone first, because that's where studio work happens.
No friction for families
Parents see their classes, invoices and payments in a simple portal, with no app to download and no separate login for each child.
Your data, kept safe
Each studio's data is kept separate, and this is enforced in the database itself, not just in the app. People only see what they need: parents see only their own family, and teachers get the tools for their classes and attendance. If we log in to your account to help, every visit is recorded.
Made in Europe
We're based in Riga, and everything is stored on servers in the EU. Invoices handle VAT, and TroupeDesk speaks your studio's language: English and Latvian today. Data-processing terms and full privacy details will be published before paid launch.
