Frequently asked questions

We are opening TroupeDesk to a small group of dance, music and theatre teachers and studios first. These are the questions we hear most. If you can't find what you're looking for, get in touch.

Early access

We're starting with a small group of teachers and studios before the public launch. Join the waitlist and we'll contact you when there's a setup spot for you.

We want to set up every early studio personally and fix what they tell us is missing. A small group lets us do that well, rather than handing a lot of people a blank account and a help centre.

You'll get a confirmation email. When we're ready to onboard you, we'll get in touch, help you pick the right plan and set things up with you.

It depends on how many studios are ahead of you and how complex your setup is. We'll email you as soon as a spot opens.

No. Joining the waitlist is free and we don't ask for payment details. You only start paying when you decide to go live.

Right now we're focused on the core workflows: enquiries, classes, attendance, billing, family accounts and the parent portal. Early studios talk directly to the people building TroupeDesk, and their requests shape what we build next.

Pricing

There are three plans. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.
  • Solo, €29/month: for individual teachers. 1 teacher account and 1 location.
  • Team, €79/month: for dance studios and music schools with several teachers. Up to 5 teacher accounts and up to 3 locations.
  • Larger business: for more teachers or locations, with pricing agreed individually.
Every plan includes unlimited students. Billing is monthly at launch, and annual billing will be offered later.

The first 20 businesses that activate a paid subscription get a founding rate: €19/month on Solo and €49/month on Team. You keep that rate, even if prices go up later, as long as you stay continuously subscribed to the same plan.

Yes. A 14-day free trial starts once your account is set up and ready to use.

Yes. You can upgrade at any time from Settings, for example if you add a second location or more teachers, and you can cancel at any time.

Setup & your team

Most studios are running in an afternoon. Adding classes takes about 15 minutes, and connecting Stripe takes about 5.

Yes. Early studios get personal setup help. You can import students from a spreadsheet or add them by hand, and we'll help you organise students, families, classes and billing.

No. The Solo plan is built for individual teachers who need student records, billing and class management but don't have a team.

Yes. On the Team and Larger business plans you can invite teachers and staff. They set their own password and can take attendance, manage classes and see student records, without everything going through one account.

No. Families use a simple web portal on any phone or computer to check schedules, view and pay invoices, and update payment details. One family account covers all their children.

Payments

Families' payments go straight to your own bank account, and TroupeDesk never holds your money. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, a payment provider used by millions of businesses. You don't need a Stripe account beforehand: we set it up together during onboarding, and it takes about 5 minutes with a photo ID and your IBAN.

No. TroupeDesk adds no fee on top of your payments. Only the payment provider's standard processing fees apply, and those are charged separately.

You can set up recurring monthly tuition and send one-off invoices for things like costumes, exams and events. Failed payments are retried automatically, and siblings are billed together under one family account. Invoices apply the correct VAT rate for your region.

By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Privacy & data

On servers in the EU.

TroupeDesk is built for EU studios. Studio and family data is protected with role-based access, and every studio's data is kept fully separate from every other studio's. Data-processing terms and privacy details will be published before paid launch.
